While a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars Cheerleaders – also known as The ROAR – I had an appearance was appearance at Ft Bragg. Meeting the many soldiers that returned from combat as well as those preparing to deploy was something I will never forget. I gained a greater appreciation for our military and knew that I wanted to do more for them. I have also performed with the ROAR at Tyndall AFB in Panama City where I had the opportunity to not only meet the pilots but learn about the planes and the training it takes to become a pilot.
I believe that it’s important to give back. There are men & women fighting for our freedom and the least I can do is to volunteer my time to help bring them joy as a “thank you” for their sacrifice. I am also very proud to have a step-father that was in the Marines who served our country in Vietnam and received the Purple Heart.
